It’s been a while since there was a BSG giveaway. This seems like a good enough reason to set-up another one. Read on for all the details.
How it will work
The competition will be dealing with the game Oh Shit, and it will run for a week. The start time will be 1:40 pm eastern time on Wednesday October 24, 2018. It will end at 1:30 pm eastern time on October 31, 2018.
At roughly 1:40 pm eastern time on October 24th the Oh Shit online scoreboard will be cleared. After this the competition is on! I’ll be doing an Oh Shit live stream at this time. You can listen to the live stream at blackscreengaming.com/live.
At 1:30 pm on October 31 the person with the highest score on the OH Shit online scoreboard will be the winner. You will have a week to play Oh Shit and get the highest score. There is a string attached however. If I(Smoke) am the highest score then no one wins and I am not giving anyone anything! You have to first get a score higher than mine, then try to finish the week in the number 1 spot. There is no prize for being the first loser AKA second place, so make sure you finish number 1!
There will be a second live stream on October 31 2018 at 12:00 or 12:30 pm eastern time. I’ll be trying to finish in first place, if I don’t manage it the winner will be announced on the live stream at the end of the stream.

The Prize
The winner of the competition will have a bunch of things to choose from. The rough value of all the prizes will be $10.00. Some of the options are, STW Credits, a 6 month Swamp account, an Itunes gift card, a XBox gift card, a Play station Gift card, or something else worth $10 not listed here. If you want something worth $10 from another game or platform not listed here we’ll work it out and get that for you instead.
The Rules & Details
Edited on 3:45 pm on October 23, 2018: The end time has been moved up one hour from 2:30 to 1:30 on October 31, 2018. This is due to the auto clearing of scores after 1 week.
- Make sure you are following @bsg_blog on Twitter. The winner will be contacted on twitter via a DM. If you win but are not following @bsg_blog then you will be disqualified.
- When posting to the online scoreboard use a name that is very similar or identical to your Twitter @ name. This way I can tell who actually won.
- If a scoreboard entry is not easily recognizable as a twitter name then that scoreboard entry will not be counted as a part of the competition. Do not assume I know who you are.
- Start Time: 1:40 pm Eastern time on October 24, 2018.
- End Time: 1:30 pm eastern time on October 31, 2018.
- Scores only count if they are posted to the online scoreboard after the start time and before the end time.
- The winner will be the one ranked number 1 on the Oh Shit online scoreboard at the end of the competition.
- If Smoke finishes number 1 at the end of the competition No One will win anything.
- If you are suspected of cheating to win you will be disqualified from the competition. All decisions are made by Smoke and are final.
- The only person who is ineligible from competing is the game’s developer Stevo.
- All BSG contributors and team members are eligible to win.
- The winner will receive a $10 gift card or subscription to the game or platform of their choice.
- Some of the possible options for the winner are, STW Credits, A 6 month Swamp account, A XBox gift card, or a Play station gift card.
- If the person who finishes number 1 at the end of the competition chooses to not take the prize, then the next highest score will win. If the next highest score is Smoke then there will be no winner.
- If the developer Stevo is number 1 at the end of the competition then the second highest score will be considered the winner. If this is Smoke then there will be no winner.
- If the winner is not following @bsg_blog on twitter, or if they cannot be contacted then the second highest score will be the winner. If Smoke is the second highest score on the scoreboard then there will be no winner.
- I will be doing a second live stream on October 31 at 12:00 or 12:30 pm eastern time. I’ll make one last push to try and finish in first. If I fail then the winner will be announced on the live stream.
If you haven’t guessed yet, I’ll be playing Oh Shit all week trying to finish in first place. This way I don’t have to give anyone anything. Insert evil laugh here! If you can get a higher score than me and also finish in first place then you’ll be the winner. What are you waiting for, get playing!
